Me, too. The thing that boggles the mind (other than the fact that they have 16) is that they want more. Yikes. I have one daughter and she's a handful :). How many more "J" names are there?

We were just talking about them at SnB this week--most of us had seen the documentary/show/whatever. I remember the two bits of the interview: "we dress to emphasize our countenance" in clearly homeade FLORAL FROCKS with TENNIS SHOES (I'm not Stacey London but even I know better than that) and the fact that they had a minibus as their family vehicle.

Oh, and the Tater Tot Surprise that was everyone's favorite dinner.

I'm just glad its not me.

Maybe we should email them some more J names in case they run our for the next one.

Have you seen that show about them? They're AWFUL to their daughters, making them do all sorts of work while the sons seem to get off without doing much of anything. Some ten-year-old of theirs was so excited about the new house because she'd be able to get the family's laundry done more quickly. Disgusting. She's a KID.

I have a mom in our neighborhood expecting her 6th -- they have 5 boys. What's worse, they "unconsciously" gave them names with first letters that spell "J.E.S.U.S." Wait, it gets worse. The "U" is Uriah.

I kid you not.

Being from Arkansas, I've heard of them for a long time. The husband had a political campaign a while ago that just had his entire family on a bilboard with the little Jesus fish in the corner.

And yeah, they treat the girls pretty unfairly :(

Looks like the girls of the family are being raised to carry out their "traditional womanly roles". My mom used to try to do that to me when I was growing up...I had to stay in the house and clean, but when the boys got to be a certain age, they got to stop doing chores because they were "almost men". Oh, me and my mom fought over that one because I SO rebelled.

I live in the same town with these people and they are quite the "show". It's sad really. They have so many kids they had to instill a buddy-system just to keep up with all of them. Eventually, she's not gonna know when the new ones slip out! At least they're not on welfare....
