Book & lace report
Believe it or not - that stack is almost 200 books.
Even better it's almost all cooking & house/interior design books.
All going. There's a separate stack for giveaways for specific people.
Our cookbooks went from 6 shelves to 2. It feels good.
We've both been in the book business for 15 years (read free books). I still can't say no to freebies , and don't really feel right unless every room in the house has book shelves filled with books. Next fiction & kids.
On the lace jacket front, I'm up to 14 different pattern swatches. I held a few open for you below. Yes, I will block when I'm done & I'll even reknit the ones I really like on different sized needles.
I love this yarn, but it's proving challenging because it's dark & it's variegated. But I will win.
I've got some cable/lace swatching to do next.
I want to use several different stitch patterns in the jacket.
All the lace patterns are from Japanese stitch books ( I have 3).
No, Shannon, you may not have them.

I must get rid of some cookbooks. Somehow, I always manage to find justification for keeping them. If only there were an iPod for recipes, so one could keep the essentials and get rid of the rest. I hope all is well with you! Lace: mmmmmmmmmm!
Damn it. You know me too well.
I'll make a drive to Ann Arbor for cookbooks, though. I'm a sick, sick cookbook junkie.
I'm waiting for the day you go loony and start unloading the Starmores... ;)
(Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?)
Could you please come to our house and help us do the same with our books? I just can't stand to part with any of them.
Oh lawdy, this is one evil blog post. Those swatches are amazing, darlin'. You're doin' that yarn PROUD!
Thanks for sharing.
