Everybody say woo-hoo!

I just paid off our car! Early.
Somehow I have it in my head to buy a new car, pay it off and drive it into the ground - usually they last 12 years. It's what I do & I convinced the Honey to ride along.

I'm having the 'want to get a handle on money' feeling. Not Buying It fanned the flame of something already sparking. Also, I must stand in solidarity to Amy's new self employed (& spending less) status (say Amen!) and Carla's spending less thinking.

So I paid off the car, and cut back our cable today.
Look here for a yarn, book (& maybe fiber) sale soon.

The true test will be when Carla & I go to Stitches next month. Maybe just sock yarn?

Oh! I'll come take about HALF the books off of your hands, my friend... which sort of defeats my whole "sell off things I don't need" goal for the summer... yet I DO need some of the books you have and conceivably they're a business expense, and... (can you hear the justification kicking in)

Weird. I couldn't see your blog for about 2 days and pow! now it's fine.

I've been thinking about Stitches market too. It shouldn't be difficult passing up most of the floof. We'll be strong when it comes to sales of our favorites. Sock yarn - yeah!

try Oprah's website for a few helpful charts for spending and expenses.
Just found out with my retirement income I won't be able to afford to live!!! HA!
Anyway....some of them are really helpful. She's replaying Debt Diet this week.

I second the woohoo! for spending less. I've not bought yarn this year (yes you read that right). The only new yarn I've gotten has been from trades. Of course I've avoided all the major shows. I wish you luck.
