Hello First Grade

Today is Isobel's first day of first grade.

Henry is wandering the house wondering,
"Belle, Belle, Belle?"

Me, too.

DIG the socks! Oh man. Why weren't you my mommy when it came to getting dressed for first grade? No fair!

(so sayeth the Fair Isle cardi-Smurf turtleneck-camouflage pants-wearing girl...no, seriously, that's the kinda stuff I wore).

Jill,
I am going to cry. She looks so big, and so serious and so ready to be a first grader...sob! How did she get so big so fast?

Wow - she looks so grown up! I love the socks and the way the two of them have that matching thing going on with the stripes and the orange. Cam hates it when Brooke goes out anywhere as well. He wanders around the house calling "Br, Br" Its sweet isn't it?

Look at her cute socks!!! She looks so darling!!

Mine is starting first grade today too. He's only been there an hour or so, but I sure miss him!!

(Though the house sure is a lot quieter - and I feel like cleaning might actually be worth it now.)

She's so tall and looks just like you!

Hard to believe they're old enough for school already. Emma starts grade one next week.

Such a beautiful,big,grown up girl.
I'm not looking forward to school starting here, next week. I shall really miss my chick. Having some time to do ''stuff'' will be nice, but it will be so quiet.
It's great to see them grow up and develop their own personalities, but I wish we could stretch these early years out a bit.
Sigh.
